Never Lose A Spot Again

Wakelog is the captain's log for your life on the water. Drop a pin in two taps, and next time it points you right back to the spot. The sandbar, the cove, the reef, the anchorage that held all night. It stays on your phone and works with no signal.

On iPhone. 14 days free, then $12.99/year, or $49.99 once and it's yours forever.

How It Works

It Does One Job: It Remembers

Every other water app helps you find or navigate. Wakelog is the log you keep of your own water: the sandbar that was perfect, the cove with no crowd, the anchorage that held all night, the reef where it went clear.

Saved In Two Taps

Tap the pin, tap what you found (fish, snorkel, dive, sandbar, anchor) and the spot exists. Name, note, photos, and a rating are optional and save as you type.

  • One tap records a whole trip as a GPS track
  • Every spot you save on the way attaches itself
  • Search finds spots by name, note, or activity

Yours To Keep

Your log lives on your phone, with no account and no sign-up. It is yours to keep and yours to take with you, exported anytime, so it is never locked in.

  • No account, no feed, nothing uploaded
  • JSON backup you control, whenever you want
  • One-tap GPX export of every spot, so there is no lock-in

Works With Zero Bars

Your home waters save themselves for offline the first time the app finds your position, and you can save any area before you head out. The map, your spots, and saving new pins all keep working offshore.

  • Offline size shown before you download
  • Take me back points a live arrow and distance
  • It points; you drive. Wakelog is a logbook, not navigation

For Everyone On The Water

A sandbar day, a dive site, and a honey hole go in the same logbook. Fishing apps are for anglers and dive logs are for divers — Wakelog is for the whole boat.

Questions

Straight Answers

Where does my data live?

On your phone. Wakelog has no account, no server, and no feed — spots, trips, and photos are stored on the device and never uploaded. The only thing the app fetches from the internet is the map itself.

Does my logbook sync between devices?

No. Wakelog keeps your logbook on the device where you made it, because nothing is ever uploaded anywhere. Settings has a JSON backup and restore for moving your logbook to a new device.

Is this a navigation app?

No. Take me back points a live arrow, bearing, and distance at your spot: you drive the boat. Wakelog is a logbook and memory aid, not a chartplotter. Always navigate with proper charts.

Do I still need my chartplotter?

Yes. Your chartplotter runs the boat; Wakelog keeps the memories. It goes in your pocket, on the water or off it, to the sandbar, the reef, or a friend's boat, where a fixed helm unit can't. Export any spot to GPX to load it onto a Garmin or Navionics.

Does it work offshore with no signal?

Yes. Your home waters save themselves for offline the first time the app finds your position, and you can save any area you're looking at before you head out. Viewing the map, opening spots, saving new pins, and recording trips all work with zero bars.

Can I get my data out?

Anytime. Settings has a JSON backup of everything and a bulk GPX export of every spot, which opens in Garmin, Navionics, or anything else that reads GPX. Your spots are never held hostage.
